STYLE
Our Vision:
To be a Spirit filled community of believers
standing FACE to FACE with God, SHOULDER to
SHOULDER with each other, with are ARMS
EXTENDED to the world.
Five Words That
Describe Our Vision:
o Word:
Spirit-anointed proclamation of God’s holy
word that produces mature disciples,
grounding them in Christ. (2 Timothy 4:2)
o Work:
Spirit-enabled service accomplished through
the releasing of God-given gifts and
abilities in every member in the Body of
Christ (1 Cor. 12:7)
o Witness:
Spirit-empowered witness that declares and
demonstrates the gospel locally and globally
(Acts 1:8)
o Worship:
Spirit-driven obedience to God’s word,
devotion to impassioned prayer, and
exaltation in vocal praise make our lives
pleasing sacrifices to God (Rom 12:1)
o Warmth:
Spirit-breathed love and fellowship that
create an atmosphere where people sense they
are welcomed and cared for (John 13:34)
Our Mission
Statement
“Our
mission is to Encounter Christ, Establish
relationships with Him and His church, and
to equip the Church to reach the world for
Jesus Christ.”
Our Style
We seek to be
a church that is excellent in all we do,
empowered by the Spirit, and contemporary or
relevant to the needs of today’s world.
We also seek to be a Family-Oriented Church.
There is something here at First Avenue for
everyone. Our ages span from infancy to
those in their 80’s! It is a great place for young families, empty-nester families,
families-to-be, and for those that don’t
have a family but would like to be part of a
big one! Relationships here are some of the
most meaningful possible.
